Ein afrikanischer Inselstaat 570 km vor der Westk\u00fcste Afrikas, der Mitte der siebziger Jahre seine Unabh\u00e4ngigkeit von Portugal erlangte. Auch heute noch ein sehr armes Land, das touristisch wenig erschlossen ist. Eine Ausnahme bildet die Insel Boa Vista, dort hat sich aber nur Massentourismus mit vier gro\u00dfen Hotelanlagen etabliert. Viel interessanter sind die anderen Inseln, die Hauptinsel Santiago und die Vulkaninsel Fogo. Landschaftlich sehr abwechslungsreich und ideal zum Wandern. W\u00e4hrend meiner Reisezeit, Anfang Februar, waren die Temperaturen mit ca. 25\u00b0C sehr angenehm.
